Weeks 7, 8 and 9

Grades K-6 will be participating in our cooperative games unit.  This unit teaches communication, collaboration, and social skills through a series of fun and strategic games.  We will spend 3 weeks in this unit since these skills are very important. 

Health Cycle 3

This cycle for Health we will be discussing Drugs and Alcohol. First lesson we will be talking about the definition of a drug and effects of drugs in an age appropriate way. We are asking for the students to not share any personal stories or share any information that should be kept confidential. This is basic information and we are not going into detail. Next lesson we will be talking about the risks of drugs and alcohol.

Week 6

K-2 grades will be using communication, cooperation, and teamwork to perform different skills involving the parachute.  We will play the camping, birthday, pizza, and pop the chicken games with the parachute. 

3-6 grades will be playing speedball.  This will be our last ultimate games game.  Speedball is a combination between soccer and handball involving ultimate game rules.
